FAQ

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING TO OSHC?

Just what they would bring to a usual school day – a hat and water bottle. We are a SunSmart service so children will not be able to play outside without wearing a hat. You may also like to pack a change of clothes (including socks) as play can sometimes be messy and wet!

WHAT WILL MY CHILD DO AT OSHC?

We offer a variety of activities that children are free to choose from and ensures your child will never be bored. We have a loose parts ‘garden’ area for building and getting messy; a varied and engaging sports program; ongoing creative art and craft projects; indoor play with Lego, colouring in, and imaginative play; a lounge room area for relaxing, homework, and playing board games as well as indoor and outdoor quiet spaces for those times when children just need to rest or read quietly.

DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD?

Yes! We provide a variety of breakfast foods in the morning such as toasts, cereals and juice as well as a rotating menu of freshly prepared items. In the afternoons we provide a fresh fruit and veggie platter with a home-made snack. Check our weekly menu each week. Once children have had a chance to play, we provide a spread of late afternoon snacks and whole fruit. During Vacation Care a full day of food is provided with the menu being available before the holidays.

MY CHILD HAS ALLERGIES/INTOLERANCES/SPECIFIC DIET, CAN YOU CATER FOR THIS?

Yes, we can! We currently cater for severe anaphylactic allergies, intolerances, and specific dietary requirements such as vegetarian. Make sure you indicate any dietary restrictions on your child’s enrolment form.

WHERE DO I COLLECT MY CHILD/REN FROM?

When arriving in the afternoon to collect your child, OSHC can be a busy place. Make yourself known to the educator in the undercover area and they will radio for your child to the other areas of play. While you sign your child out of care, they will make their way to the undercover area to meet you.
